Vacuum process chamber
UniHeat is a flexible cold wall (high) vacuum oven / furnace concept, available in three basic models, build and configured according to your application:

  • Horizontal front loader; volume 10 to 150 liter
  • Vertical top loader; volum 10 to 150 liter
  • Vertical bottom loader; volume 10 to 150 liter
  • Special ultra high temperature versions (up to 3000 degrees C.); volumes < 2 liter

Products to be treated are easily placed and positioned using a tailored product holder. Your competative advantages: The UniHeat offers you a true clean, hydrocarbon free vacuum, optimal accessibility, multiple individual heating zones and therefore a homogeneous chamber process temperature.


Heating system


Depending on the UniHeat model of your choice, the system is equipped with stainless steel, inconel, tantalum, or molybdenum heat radiation shields and has one of the following heating systems:

  • multiple tantalum, tungsten or molybdenum heating zones, maximum temperature range: 1350 degrees Celsius
    multiple heating zones with individual PID loop take care of a homogeneous temperature.
  • induction heating, maximum temperature range: 2500 degrees Celsius
  • infrared heating elements, maximum temperature range: 1250 degrees Celsius


Vacuum pumping system, pressure measurement and gas admission system
As a standard, the UniHeat concept is equipped with a vacuum pumping system consisting of a turbomolecular high vacuum pump combined with an oil sealed or dry (oil free) forevacuum pump. Optionally, the pumping system can be equipped with LN2 or Polycold cooled baffle. Also present are a combined or individual forevacuum and high vacuum pressure sensor(s). Pressure readout and control is done via the HMI (Graphic USer Interface)

Utilizing a manual or fully automated gas admission system, the user is able to admit certain process gases during a cooling step or for product treatment step(s) during the process. (Argon Ar, Hydrogen H2, Nitrogen N2, etc.) Optionally, the UniHeat system is available with forced cooling system for rapid cooling cycles of your product batches.




Process monitoring and system control
The user may choose from four basic control packages, which can be tailored to specific demands:

  1. Control package 1: Manual control
    "Cost effective" manual control


  2. Control package 2: PLC + small monochrome touch panel
    PLC communicates directly with the sensors, actuators and other key system components, without the presence of a fieldbus protocol.
    A simple built-in monochrome touch panel allows monitoring and control of the system.


  3. Control package 3: PLC + fieldbus + color touchscreen panel
    PLC communicates with the sensors, actuators and key system components via a fieldbus protocol (for example; Profibus or others)
    A medium sized touchscreen color panel allows monitoring and control of the system. This control package at least features:

    - Service mode: protected mode in which both process components as the vacuum system can also be operated manually.
      It is also possible to change machine parameters. (limited hardware security)

    - Supervisor mode: protected mode in which the process components can also be operated manually, but the vacuum system only automatically   This mode offers auto running of receipes, modifications of receipes and user administration.
      (full hardware security via software)

    - User mode: protected mode in which the operator normally controls the system and automatically runs receipes.
      (full hardware security via software)


  4. Control package 4: PLC + fieldbus + industrial PC
    PLC communicates with the sensors, actuators and key system components via a fieldbus protocol (for example; Profibus or others)
    A 19" rack industrial touch panel PC or standard built-in industrial PC offer full monitoring and control of the system.
    This control package at least offers the same features as package 3 and furthermore offers:

    - Better graphics, Microsoft Windows performance, comfort and appearance
    - Possibility for extended and more detailed user levels
    - Full manual or full automatic control; specification per user level
    - More comfortable datalogging features
    - Free editing of receipes; practically unlimited process steps per receipe
    - Various other free programmable software options.
